Heidolph

Good design is invisible

Max Bill already knew that good design should be invisible. In this product for Heidolph, we have applied this theory of the world-famous design pioneer. The design of Heidolph’s Hei-Shake is clean and clear, it does not push itself into the foreground, it is not “designy”, it is simply there and fulfills its purpose: to enable optimal working.

How the light falls

Fine nuances and light edges become visible when the design takes its first steps towards reality.

The essence of three models

It has become rare and yet it is an important step: design models. Design models are a tried and tested means of assessing haptics and ergonomics and “say” more than a thousand words. If the weight is also right, grip situations can be optimally evaluated, as is the case here.

Design Thinking

Design thinking, as the name suggests, is based on the approach of designers. In order to achieve optimum results, it is necessary to verify each new development step using models. In our case, these are polyurethane foam models.

Daily use

The interaction between the position of the display and the operability of the drawers is also an important point in the daily use of our device at the workplace.

Mock-ups in the design sprint

In order to be able to quickly draw conclusions about ergonomics, quickly built mock-ups have always been essential in design development. A few years ago, this approach gave rise to what is known as “design thinking”.
