At the beginning of 2017, Patrick (CEO of PLiKKA) travelled to Vietnam. As he and his friend were walking through a park in Ho Chi Minh City, he was inspired by a small toy he saw there (called “Da Cau” – a shuttlecock to play with your feet). After playing this game with many locals that evening, he decided to create something similar at home.
The original product is made of cheap plastic and rubber material and animal feathers. That looked like a challenge… Patrick wanted to produce a sports product of higher quality and without animal products. It should also expand the playing possibilities and maximise the fun compared to this Vietnamese spring football.
PLiKKA is known as the big cousin of badminton and can be played with hands and feet. With a total height of 13 cm PLiKKA is quite compact. With a glow stick you can play PLiKKA day and night. It is manufactured 100% in Germany, where we work with certified partners. PLiKKA is free from animal products.
The rear surface can be individualised and illuminated, creating a warmer atmosphere.
The front sign can be customised with various motifs and produced according to individual customer design requirements.
A discreet illuminated ring corresponds with the soft design language.
