The second generation of Cubis® improves the successful laboratory balance system with its new and innovative display module. The challenge for the design was the perfect combination of intuitive and error-free operation and the diverse customisation options of the modular system. While the weighing platform remains the same, a design had to be created through which each combination of operating unit and body appears harmonious and uniform.

Regardless of the environment in which a laboratory balance is used, whether in a pharmaceutical laboratory or in university or other research laboratories, the requirements for a balance can be very different. To meet this requirement, Cubis® is designed as a fully customisable scale series whose hardware, software and connectivity can be adapted to the needs of the user. The entire product series is modular in design and can thus respond to these requirements. State-of-the-art user interfaces that offer simple and ergonomic handling enable the user to achieve the highest level of precision.
Each scale has a uniform and harmonious design, regardless of the module combination. This is achieved by the lateral lines connecting the modules, while the shape narrows towards the front to emphasise the user interface. The particularly flat display module appears light and elegant. It seems to float in front of the scales. Functional precision and reliability are radiated by the brilliance of the lenticular glass display, which perfectly reflects the Sartorius CI. By merging explicit segmentation and optical integration, Cubis® II convinces with clear product semantics.
The second generation of the Cubis® series meets user requirements for hygiene and quality. It is the perfect solution for applications in the laboratory. Clear and smooth surfaces allow easy accessibility for cleaning. The compact design and minimal footprint make optimal use of the valuable space at the workplace. Integrated palm buttons on the side flank the display and simplify handling. These are magnetically docked to the operating unit and can be easily removed for easier cleaning. The new generation of modular scales allows flexible adaptation of the individual product configuration to user requirements.
